Your past is in the past.
There is nothing we can do to change or alter the things that have already happened. It’s a total cliché but it’s the harsh truth. It’s time to get over it. How can you move forward and live your life if you are being held up by the past? How can you move happily through life if you are hung up on your regrets? The best way to prevent regrets is to change your attitude and stop blaming others. Stop looking for problems. Stop trying to create drama. There is a great deal of things in life that we cannot control.
There is one thing we can always control: our attitude. Yes, things may hurt and it may take time to heal. But you can either blame others or take responsibility for your life and be proactive. Find happiness and acceptance in each situation that you can. Mindset is everything.
Remove roadblocks and all negative energy.
Do you have people in your life who weigh you down and sabotage you? You need to address this one of two ways. 1. Have a talk with them about what’s bothering you and let them know if they continue to bring you down you will not have room for them in your life. It’s a hard discussion to have but you can’t live your life for others. 2. See them less or not at all. That’s it. No confrontation. Bottom line…successful and happy people don’t get that way by letting others tear them down and keep them from their dreams.
One of the feelings you may want in a year is to feel lighter, physically, emotionally and mentally. So you may need to get rid of some negative thoughts about yourself, get rid of physical clutter in your home, and some other emotional clutter you’ve been hanging onto in your heart and in your mind. Wonderful things happen when you choose to only let in positive people, thoughts, activities, and things into your life. (Diffuse sage essential oil when you do this stuff!)
Make your life plan.
What do you want your life to look like in one week? 6 months? 3 years? 10 years? 25 years? Think about what that looks like and write it down where you can see it every day or make a vision board to show your dream life visually. Think about how you want to feel. Watch out for traps, you may want to be successful in 3 years, but what does success look like to you? More money? Doing what you love to do every day and getting paid for it? Write action steps for how you are going to achieve this dream life. Think big!
