The 1 Simple Thing You Can Do To Make Life Amazing Every Day

We have the “not so secret” secret to make every day amazing. Wanna know what it is?

It’s mantra meditation.

Many studies show the benefits of meditation in our lives but a meditation practice may be a stretch for some. We recommend getting started with a simple and quick mantra meditation every morning and every night.

There are some ancient Sanskrit mantras you can use, but we feel for beginners it’s best to stick to a modern, English mantra.


Begin and end your day with a modern mantra meditation. Choose a mantra that serves you at this specific time in your life for the morning time and one for nighttime. As soon as you wake up in the morning, before you get out of bed, take a deep breath, and repeat your mantra to yourself 5-10 times. As soon as you get into bed at night, set your alarm, put your phone down, repeat your mantra 5-10 times, then close down your eyes and your mind for beautiful sleep.

For example, if you are really stressed right now, these may be good morning and nighttime mantras:

Morning: Worrying today is borrowing from tomorrow.

Nighttime: Today, I did the best I could, and that’s all I could ask for.

Another option would be to grab your mala beads and infuse your intention and mantra into your malas by sitting in a comfortable position, shutting down your eyes, and placing the mala bead between your index finger and your thumb. Say your mantra and move on to the next bead in line. With this, repeat your mantra for each of the 108 mala beads. If you are feeling like you need a little extra mindfulness, complete the cycle going the opposite way around the mala beads for another 108.

We suggest checking in with yourself in a week or so after starting a new mantra cycle and making sure those mantras are still providing you with peace and joy. As life changes, mantras should change with it.

  • In giving forgiveness, I am healed.
  • I am open to the abundance of the universe.
